First Lego League (Super Powered 2023)

The First Lego League is an annual robotics event that engages in hands-on STEM experiences, building confidence, growing knowledge and developing habits of learning. FLL’s three divisions inspire youth to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics.

We had three teams who signed up for the event and successfully finished the three levels around Core Values, Innovative Robot Design, and Robot games.

For the core values category, students were tasked to design solutions. We had three teams with sustainable solutions around SDG 7, ensuring access to clean and affordable energy.

The projects are;

  • G1 – e-bag
  • G2 – IoT for Smarthomes
  • G3- Automatic Solar tracker

During the challenge, our students completed all the levels required and were awarded completion Medals and Certificates of participation.

Brooke House Schools team took the lead and will represent Kenya in FLL in Texas, The second-best team Rift Valley Academy will represent Africa in Morocco.
