Alan is a passionate educator with over 25 years teaching experience, the last 7 of which, he was the Deputy Rector and Academic Head of School at Michael house boarding School in KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.

Throughout his career as an educator, Alan has demonstrated a drive for Academic excellence combined with a commitment for holistic development of young people to rise to whatever challenges that they may face. This is consistent with the purpose of the M-PESA Foundation Academy which is about developing thinkers, doers and leaders.
Directors

David started off his career as a Mathematics teacher in the Kenya National curriculum before venturing into the international education field. He has a passion for concept-based curriculum and instruction and supports teachers and school leaders internationally as an independent Erickson and Lanning Concept Based Curriculum Trainer.
He holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Nairobi. He also has a Master of Art degree from the same university having been awarded a merit scholarship from both the university and Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (Sylff).


With teaching and leadership being his driving force, Christian came back to Kenya, with a bag full of experience in national and international education and he is pleased to be working as the Director of the Uongozi Centre.
He holds a Master of Arts in Educational Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Pedagogy. Christian’s fundamental values are happiness, equality, aspiration, respect and trust. Their first letters form the acronym HEART. When not teaching and leading, he enjoys travelling and getting to know people, their culture, their language and cuisine. Christian loves nature and has a big heart for animals. His involvement with MPESA Foundation Academy is, without a doubt, a great one.

She is has been a member of KOLA, EWWORD and consultant to Save the Children-Somalia.
Outside her 9-5, Betty is a wife and a mother to two daughters , two sons and three grand-children She enjoys travelling, watching movies and listening to meaningful debate as well as current affairs. She is also passionate about matters Social Justice Advocacy, Inclusivity, healthy nutrition and Fitness. Above all, her pride is in seeing students who pass through her hands become successful global citizens. Her role at the academy has seen multiple success stories with different students stepping out of their comfort zones and into the world. Betty is impactful beyond measure, something the school aims towards in our everyday.
