Executive Head of School

Tony Eysele has been privileged to have a career in education spanning over 42 years. After his university studies, he started his teaching career as a Chemistry and Physics teacher in a state secondary school followed by roles as Head of Science, Deputy-Head, Foundation Director, Headteacher, Executive Head, and Chief Executive Officer in various independent and international schools in various countries, namely, South Africa, Zimbabwe, the UK, and Kenya. He has taught and led day and boarding schools within a national curriculum context, as well as schools offering curriculum options such as IGCSE, GCSE, A-levels, American Advanced Placement, and the International Baccalaureate. Added to that, he has been a member of various school leadership organizations such as the HMC (UK), NASSP (USA), CHISZ (Zimbabwe), and ISC (UK).

He has extensive experience in educational management and leadership, strategy, financial management, development planning, professional learning communities, curriculum development, peer coaching, career guidance, and people development. He has also mentored students applying to university and been a member of the Board of Governor at a Tertiary Education College and at UK Independent School.

David Ochieng Oloo

Director of Studies

David has taught for the last three decades and spent the last fifteen of these years dedicated to leadership in various International Baccalaureate (IB) schools as a programme leader and principal. As a mentor, coach and team leader, he has been instrumental in launching, implementing and evaluating various IB programmes ranging from PYP, MYP, CP to DP. He is an IB consultant, quality curriculum reviewer as well as programme and evaluation leader who has offered expert advice to various international schools in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He has also worked in Tanzania and most recently, Accra Ghana.

David started off his career as a Mathematics teacher in the Kenya National curriculum before venturing into the international education field. He has a passion for concept-based curriculum and instruction and supports teachers and school leaders internationally as an independent Erickson and Lanning Concept Based Curriculum Trainer.

He holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Nairobi. He also has a Master of Art degree from the same university having been awarded a merit scholarship from both the university and Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (Sylff).

Beatrice Bwali

Director of Student Life

Over the last 37 years, Betty has held numerous roles and impacted much more numerous lives in her role as a teacher, an administrator, a mentor and as a coach in both national and international fronts. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in Disaster Management. During this period, she also served as a Head of Department, Curriculum Developer, Dean of Students, Deputy principal and most recently as Head of student Life. She also serves as a member of Board of Governors for a number of institutions both locally and internationally.

She has been a member of KOLA, EWWORD and consultant to Save the Children-Somalia.

She is passionate about matters Social Justice Advocacy, Inclusivity, healthy nutrition and Fitness. Above all, her pride is in seeing students who pass through her hands become successful global citizens. Her role at the academy has seen multiple success stories with different students stepping out of their comfort zones and into the world.

Mary Nyale

Director of Operations

Mary is a highly experienced leader with over 25 years of experience in management, finance, and administration across multiple industries, including telecommunications, hospitality, and financial services. She began her leadership journey at Safaricom as a Credit Control Manager and eventually became the Head of Department Credit and Collections, transforming the department into a key support function for all business units. Mary holds an MBA in Strategic Management and is a Certified Productivity and Engagement Coach. She is currently leading the operations team at MPESA Foundation Academy and is driven by a passion for purpose and results.

John Kipkemboi

Head of Tertiary Education

John is a self-motivated and progress–driven professional with over 14 years of experience in the education and training industry. He is an expert in curriculum design, implementation, and review with a keen interest in program design and implementation, a function he held dearly at Strathmore University Business School.

He began his career at Equity Group Foundation where he served as the assistant Program Manager in charge of the Wings to Fly Mentorship program. In this position, he designed and implemented a comprehensive mentorship program that supported over 30,000 scholars across the globe.

He also has impeccable experience in public policy design, review, and implementation having worked in the public sector and providing advisory on economic and education policy frameworks at the ministry level. Besides, he is passionate about sustainability and building strategic partnerships, areas that he has made great achievements for organisations he has worked with. John is currently the Head of Tertiary Education at M-PESA Foundation Academy supporting over 600 needy and academically bright scholars and alumni across the world.

John holds a Bachelor of Education from Egerton University and a Master of Public Policy and Management offered jointly by Strathmore University and New York University.
