On Friday 14th June we were delighted to host the second annual Disciplined Forces Careers Day. The theme of the day was "Discovering Career Opportunities in the Disciplined Forces".
This is a great opportunity for both our staff and students to interact with the men and women in uniform.

Kenya Army’s Major Richard King’ori took the students through various activities executed by the Kenya Defence Forces in order to achieve its mandate as a security organ in the country further elaborating the mandate, roles and the structure of the Kenya Army (KA).
Kenya Air Force’s Major Peter Obare explained the various tasks and activities of the force and how they support the sister services. He also shared what it takes to join the Kenya Air Force (KAF).
Major Erick Wambugu from the Kenya Navy (KN) explained that his service has a mandate to protect the nation from external threats emanating from the sea, protect the state’s territorial waters as well as provide support to sister services.
Further, mentorship from Major Josephat Kirema (KN) Major John Wainaina (KA), Captain Nismat Mutua (KAF), Captain Samwel Ndewa (KAF) and Captain Valentine Mung’ata (KA) enlightened the students on different career specializations within the KDF.
