This is how we Lead

Leadership at M-PESA Foundation Academy

Leadership is a lived experience at the Academy. Our Student Leadership Programme is designed to nurture principled, inclusive, and service-driven leaders prepared to make meaningful contributions to society. From classroom projects to national forums, students are empowered to lead with empathy, courage, and vision. Leadership development is embedded across academic, co-curricular, and residential life—supported by mentorship, leadership workshops, and reflective practice.

The Student Council serves as the formal leadership body, complemented by leadership roles in sports, arts, entrepreneurship, clubs, and school events. Whether chairing assemblies or leading community projects, students are encouraged to lead from where they are. We believe every student has the capacity to influence change. By offering diverse, structured opportunities to lead, we help our learners graduate not only as scholars—but as changemakers.

Opportunities to Lead Include:

  • Sports: Team captains, peer coaches.
  • Arts: Ensemble leaders, production directors.
  • Innovation & Enterprise: Project leads, business heads.
  • Clubs & Societies: Presidents, event coordinators.
  • Community Outreach: Project mobilisers.
  • School Functions: MCs, programme facilitators.
