At the M-PESA Foundation Academy, our support doesn’t end at graduation. Through the Tertiary Education Department, we walk alongside our alumni as they transition into higher education, careers, and life beyond the Academy.

We empower our graduates to make informed choices, thrive in university, and grow into transformational leaders who uplift their communities and the world.

Our Programs

University Readiness & Placement

Before they embark on their tertiary education, all scholars participate in a robust Pre-University Programme designed to prepare them for academic success and personal growth.

Topics include:

  • Leadership Development
  • Financial Literacy
  • African History & Philosophy
  • Identity and Society
  • Health & Wellness
  • Responsible Living

In parallel, our team offers personalised guidance in university applications, reference writing, and course selection, ensuring each student finds the right path. We also host an annual University Fair where scholars connect with local and international institutions.

Internship Placement Support

We help alumni access meaningful internship opportunities through strategic partnerships with leading organisations. We conduct regular visits during internships to ensure our graduates gain relevant experience and develop professional confidence.

Mentorship & Well-being

Through mentorship and counselling, we nurture the whole person.

  • Scholars are paired with mentors—from staff or professionals—who provide academic, career, and personal guidance.
  • Psychosocial support and counselling services are available to support emotional wellness and resilience throughout their journey.

Alumni Engagement & Progress Monitoring

We maintain strong relationships with our alumni through:

  • Regular check-ins and visits to universities
  • Academic progress reviews
  • Ongoing evaluation of alignment with the Academy’s mission
  • Continuous connection and support, fostering a lifelong sense of belonging

Annual Alumni Leadership Conference

Held in collaboration with the Alumni Association, our annual Alumni Leadership Conference brings together scholars from across the globe to reconnect, collaborate, and inspire.

This flagship event features industry leaders and thought partners and focuses on entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership for societal impact.

Our Goal: To nurture a vibrant, global community of young leaders who are committed to creating meaningful change in their communities and beyond.

MPESA Foundation Academy Alumni

The M-PESA Foundation Academy alumni community is driven by the purpose ofbuilding a cohort of leaders who are united by roots at the Academy. They are likeminded and share the common objective to positively transform their communities by taking leadership roles in initiatives that create positive and transformative impact

Our Vision

To be a dynamic, member-focused Association, inspiring passion amongst the alumni for driving transformational changes.

Our Mission

To advance the MPESA Foundation Academy through meaningful relationships and programs.

Driving value and transformative impact everyday

  • To foster and encourage close cooperation and community spirit among ‘friends’ of the
    MPESA Foundation Academy.
 
  • To contribute towards communities in Kenya that will advance ideas and promote
    progress in those communities.
 
  • To maintain a relationship between alumni and the MFA and among alumni using a
    variety of communication tools and activities.

 

  • To provide funds for sponsored events and sustain the operations of the Association.

 

  • Establish collaborative links with other alumni bodies and organizations in and outside
    Kenya.
 
  • To raise funds through dues paying membership, contributions, and events and
    activities to support the purpose of the Association.

 

  • To Encourage, develop, and maintain academic and social traditions unique to the MPESA Foundation Academy.
 
  • To collaborate with any other bodies that serve the interests and development of the
    Alumni and the M-PESA Foundation Academy.
 
  • Participate in any other worth our reputation national and international activities that
    will portray the Association and the M-PESA Foundation Academy in good light.
