MPESA Foundation Academy  is for people who want a story worth telling. Our students come from all walks of life. What unites them is that at the Academy they discovered what they were capable of.

Jabu's Story

JABU is the head girl at M-PESA Foundation Academy. To enhance her communication skills and broaden her horizons, she studies German to enhance her ambitions to become a diplomat.

Nathan Kubai's Story

Meet Nathan Kubai, an MPESA Foundation Academy alumni who dreams of becoming a pilot.  Today, he is studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK, on a full scholarship funded by the M-PESA Foundation Academy.

Trace Mideva's Story

In 2020, Trace was part of a team at the Academy that developed Skullcard, a payments card and app that helps parents and students keep track of pocket money. Trace’s team presented the project as part of the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge, where they received a financial bursary to help develop it further.

Noelle's Story

Noelle teaches German at the M-PESA Foundation Academy. Here, she describes how technology is helping transform the approach to teaching in Kenya.

Career Day

On 3rd December 2021, the Academy hosted over 90 tertiary institutions, speakers and mentors at the Career day themed “Owning Your Future”. Our learners had the golden opportunity to interact and learn from various Professionals and guest speakers like David Avido, founder of the brand Lookslike Avido and the power duo- Ayrton and Diana Bett of Purpink Gifts and Flowers.

The Uongozi team, through the Partnership and Communication manager, organised an immersion workshop for ten BTEC Hospitality Students at the Kempinski Hotel in Westlands. The students got a rare opportunity to shadow the catering and housekeeping team of the esteemed five-star hotel for an enriching learning opportunity.
